Jan Leja, a volunteer Team in Training Coach,
has been involved with the program since early 1998,
the year he completed his first marathon.
He has been a TNT participant, a mentor and since 2001
has coached TNT runners and also walkers.
During his tenure Jan's trainees have raised over $500,000 towards blood
cancers' research and cure.
Jan, an avid (admittedly "middle of the pack") runner and formerly an accomplished racewalker, enthusiastically trains with TEAM members.
He has completed 25 marathons and at several others
had covered an equivalent distance while running his trainees in. "There is nothing more rewarding than to witness teammates, you have trained and become friends with, cross a finish line, reach their goal ... to share with them this very special, often life-changing, moment.
TNT is such a unique, win-win program for all involved."
TNT & Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) certified coach.
